SIP Garden Rooms in Surrey & Hampshire

A simple set of short guides so you can see how SIP garden rooms usually work in your area - access, ground, planning quirks and what tends to be popular locally.

I build mainly across Surrey, Hampshire and nearby areas, but the principles are similar wherever you are: sensible access, a solid base, a well-detailed SIP structure and a design that suits how you'll actually use the room. These local notes just add a bit more colour.

If you don't see your town listed, you can still get in touch - I'm happy to be clear about whether it's realistic for me to take your project on.

Surrey

Guildford & villages

Typical projects: home offices, studios, multi-use family rooms.

Mix of period homes and newer developments. Access down side passages and terraced gardens is common, so SIP panels and thought-through logistics usually make more sense than heavy, wet construction methods.

Surrey

Woking & surrounding areas

Typical projects: offices, gyms, garden bars.

Lots of "standard" suburban plots where we can usually work within permitted development. The main variables are access and how flat the garden is - both can be worked around with the right base and panel layout.

Hampshire

Fleet & Hart district

Typical projects: offices and multi-purpose family spaces.

Many homes here have good-sized gardens and space to position a room sensibly. The main questions are often about orientation, privacy and choosing glazing that doesn't overheat the space in summer.

Hampshire

Farnham & borders

Typical projects: studios, creative spaces, higher-spec offices.

Mix of character properties and newer homes. Sometimes we're working with sloping or more mature gardens, so careful thought about bases, tree roots and views in and out is important.

Further afield

Case-by-case depending on scale and timing.

For larger, interesting projects I'm open to travelling further if the specification and timescales make sense. If you're not sure, just ask - I'll give you a straight answer about whether I can help.
